What to Expect at Your First Visit
Your initial evaluation is a one-hour, one-on-one session with a licensed physical therapist. Here is what the visit includes:
- Detailed health history — We will ask about your symptoms, medical history, goals, and what activities are being affected
- Physical examination — Movement testing, strength assessment, flexibility evaluation, and specialized tests specific to your symptoms
- Diagnosis and explanation — Your therapist will explain what is causing your symptoms in clear, understandable terms
- Treatment plan — A personalized plan outlining recommended treatment frequency, expected timeline, and goals
- Initial treatment — Most patients receive some hands-on treatment during the evaluation visit
